Walnut Choc Roughs

Walnut Choc Roughs

  • Preparation time: 20 minutes (allow extra time for chilling)
  • Makes: approx 20-24

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups (165g) Sunbeam Californian Walnuts
  • 3 tbs desiccated coconut
  • 200g dark or milk cooking chocolate, broken into squares
  • 1 ½ tbs butter (room temperature)

Method

1.Chop walnuts until coarsely grainy. Transfer to a bowl. Add the coconut.
2.Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl on high for 1 minute. Stir, then microwave for another minute or until melted. Chop butter into small pieces, add to chocolate & stir until melted.
3.Pour over the walnuts & coconut, mix well & refrigerate for about 10 minutes to partially firm up.
4.Line a tray with baking paper & drop heaped teaspoons of the mixture onto paper. Chill until firm. Best kept cold.
