Caramel Corn Crunch

Great Kids Baking Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sunbeam Sultanas
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • ¼ cup popping corn
  • ½ cup peanuts
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup

Method

1.Heat oil in a saucepan. Add popcorn when oil is hot. Cook until popping slows. Place popcorn in a large bowl and mix in peanuts and sultanas.
2.Place the brown sugar, butter and golden syrup in a saucepan and cook over medium heat. Bring to the boil then pour over the popcorn mixture. Stir well.
3.Pour the caramel corn out onto a lined baking tray and leave to set. When set break the corn into chunks to serve.
